What you're trying to book
Den is the most joyful three-hour meal in Tokyo. Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa's style is modern Japanese with a sense of play: the signature 'Dentucky Fried Chicken' comes in a tiny KFC-style bucket, the dessert often involves a ceramic dog, and every course is designed to make you laugh at least once.
Two Michelin stars, repeatedly No. 1 or top-five on Asia's 50 Best, and the staff all speak English. About ¥35,000 per person without drinks, and plan for at least two and a half hours. Moved to its current space near Jingumae Station in Shibuya in 2018.
How reservations actually work
Den is phone-only at +81-3-6455-5433, but unlike most three-star spots, the staff handle English calls directly — reservations are 12:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday. Bookings open about two months in advance and fill within a few days.
Den sometimes appears on Pocket Concierge for cancellations, so if you're flexible on dates it's worth checking daily. Saturdays and public holidays go fastest.
If you want Moshi Moshi to book it for you
Because Den's staff speak English, many travelers can book themselves. Where we help: you're too busy to sit on the phone at 12:00 JST the day bookings open for your date, or you want to try multiple dates (and maybe a private room) in parallel.
We call the moment the window opens, try your preferred date plus two fallbacks, and send the confirmation in English. No charge unless one of them lands.
Early access
We’ll place the call for you.
Leave your email and the booking you want. We call Den in polite Japanese — you get the confirmation in English. No charge unless the reservation is made.

- Does Den accept reservations in English?
- Den accepts inquiries in English. The most reliable channel is their website.
- How do I book Den from outside Japan?
- Den doesn't list any English booking channels. Reservations are taken by phone (+81-3-6455-5433) in Japanese. From outside Japan, travelers either ask their Japan-based hotel concierge to call on their behalf, or use an AI-assisted reservation service such as Moshi Moshi.
- Where is Den located?
- Den is at Architect house hall JIA, 2-3-18 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, in the Jingumae area of Tokyo, Japan.
- How far in advance should I book Den?
- 3–6 weeks in advance is usually enough for a weekend dinner. Holiday weekends, Saturday lunches, and counter seats with a particular chef should be booked earlier — 2 months is a safer buffer.
